CLA actually works within your body in 4 different ways: First: Your body contains an ezyme called lipoprotein lipase or LPL. This enzyme actually breaks down fat from your diet which is then stored in your body. CLA naturally suppresses this ezyme and decreases LPL activity which results in your body deposting and storing less fat overall. Second: CLA decreases the size and the number of fat cells in your body, otherwise known as adipocytes. Third: There is a natural process going on within your body that causes fat cells to disintegrate. This process is called “cell suicide” or the more clinical term, “apoptosis”. CLA increases your body’s apoptosis rate (rate at which fat cells disintegrate) thereby decreasing the number of fat cells that will be stored in your body.
