How does Citi Performing Arts Center pay for disability access programs and facility upgrades?
Each year, a portion of Citi Performing Art Center’s operating budget is allocated for Community Service Expenditure, which includes direct cash grants, performance underwriting and discounted Rental fees for local not-for-profit resident companies. We also include Access Programming, which includes ASL-interpreted and audio-described public performances for individuals who are deaf, blind or have communication disorders, and facility improvements which maintain physical access to the Center. Additional funding for Access Programming has been provided in the past by VSA Arts Massachusetts, the Bay State Council of the Blind, and various private foundations.
