How does CI relate to the Clintonville Area Commission?
The Clintonville Area Commission acts as an offshoot of Columbus City Council. Their responsibilities relate not only to issues such as traffic calming on residential streets, but to zoning and variance approvals. CI would like to function as a “technical” advisor to the CAC because of the wide variety of professions represented among our volunteers. CI works with the CAC in finding solutions to ongoing situations such as lack of parking. (This was noted as a problem by many merchants in the market study sanctioned by the city of Columbus.
