How does CFW compare with other Fashion Weeks – Milan, Paris, London, New York?
It is difficult to compare. If you look at the number of brands exhibiting at the fairs and number of buyers attending, we are a huge event, the biggest in northern Europe. London Fashion Week, for that matter, has a much smaller number of buyers attending, but that is simply because it is mainly about fashion shows. There are not many events that are comparable with CFW, because it is such a big market place. But obviously, we would love this event to be one of those you think about when thinking about real fashion, together with Paris, New York or Milan. Can CFW even compete with them? Right now, in these financially difficult times when everyone is cutting down on travelling budgets, it is perhaps harder to attract the industry to come to Copenhagen.
