After the biopsy specimen has been received, the chondrocytes are isolated from their biological matrix (by enzymatic digestion). Then they are multiplied with the addition of the patient’s own serum, for about 3 weeks. At the end of the cultivation phase, the cells are absorbed in a three-dimensional matrix which is similar to the original shape.
