How does CCR&R know what the child care needs are in each area?
CCR&R maintains and updates a database on a regular basis to efficiently track and follow the supply and demand of child care needs. As Quality Assured programs through Child Care Aware®, CCR&R staff listen actively to parents when doing an intake call to find out what the needs and issues are for families looking for care. Follow-up calls are also made to find out if families were able to find care and how they assessed their options. CCR&R also identifies child care issues when interacting with providers, other social service agencies, and with members of the community at large.
