How does CARITAS provide services?
The unique aspect of CARITAS is found in the fact that all its programs are carried out by Program Partners that are almost all Catholic Men and Women Religious. As a lay apostolate, CARITAS works with its partners to establish, develop and fund the programs through its partners around the world. This relationship enables each program to operate in its own area, addressing the unique needs and circumstances of each area, without the costly expense of hiring individuals living thousands of miles away needing to be monitored for best practices, consistent and maximum use of the funds being provided for their services and support of the children in their care.
