How does Capitol Copy comply with environmental concerns?
We are a small manufacturing company that is not subject to some of the environmental regulations that larger companies must comply with. However, we comply with them anyway because it makes sense and saves money! Here is a partial list of our environmental measures: – Use of recycled paper, especially from PCW – Use of Forest Certified paper suppliers – Dispose of all waste paper and cardboard by a private recycler – Treat and neutralize all processing chemicals – Send metals and obsolete machinery to recyclers – Return toner cartridges to manufacturer – Operate air purifiers – Sell used equipment and donate waste paper to charity – Print, copy “just enough” pieces needed to reduce waste and cost Paper is biodegradable, renewable and sustainable; paper companies employ thousands and land used for pulp production is preserved from development. Growing and harvesting trees preserves land that provides clean air, clean water, wildlife habitat and carbon storage! And, remember, computers
