How does Cannabis affect the Heart, Liver, Lungs and brain?

Cannabis has similar effects on the lungs as tobacco. When you inhale smoke, you’re inhaling carbon monoxide, tars and other carcinogens that could increase the risk of some lung diseases. However in a recent Los Angeles study they found no correlation between cannabis smoke and cancer, this maybe due to cannabis’s anti-cancer properties. Cannabis can increase your heart rate and lower your blood pressure, this could be of concern if you have a heart condition. Haven’t found any information whether cannabis has any positive or negative effect on the liver. It is a debatable issue of how bad the the long term effects of the drug can be for the brain, they have found an increase risk in some psychotic illnesses such as schizophrenia in heavy users (eg 10 joints a day for 20 years), but no increase risk in occasional users. There are a few studies to suggest that cannabis can cause damage to your short-term and working memory, but there hasn’t been anything conclusive yet.
