How does CAMTC determine if a school is “approved”?
“Approved schools” must meet the minimum standards for training and curriculum in massage and related subjects AND must be approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) or other approval body listed in California Business and Professions Code Section 4600(a). In addition, CAMTC gathers information from law enforcement agencies, other state regulatory agencies and national certification organizations to help determine “approved” school status.
