How does building planes compare to building cars?
DB: Airplanes are different and more time consuming. If it doesn’t work properly, you can’t just pull over to the nearest cloud and park. AFC: That is a significant difference. With airplanes there isn’t any room for mistakes. I think I’ll stick to cars! What is your favorite car of all time? DB: It would have to be the GTM or the ’69 Vet. AFC: Tell me about your Formula Ford, how long have you been racing? DB: I’ve been racing in one form or another most of my life. I use to be into motorcycle racing until I got a little old for that; we don’t heal quite as fast as we use to. Then I got into Formula Ford racing and I’ve been doing that for about 3 years. AFC: What was it like racing your FZR1000 motorcycle? DB: That was just a ratty old track bike, but it was fun. I got to drag my knee around the track a bunch of times.
