Connecticut’s Emissions Test Program fights air pollution by reducing vehicle emissions through the identification of high-emitting vehicles and requiring them to be repaired. Vehicle emissions account for more than 40 percent of the air pollution that affects the health of all the State’s residents, especially children, the elderly, asthma and bronchitis sufferers and people who work and play outdoors.
