How does BreakTimer work with programs like NaturallySpeaking and ViaVoice?
BreakTimer attempts to differentiate between your typing and the typing done by voice recognition tools. However, it can only do so in certain circumstances. When it does, typing done by the voice recognition software will not be counted as typing by BreakTimer (or DataLogger). However, in some instances BreakTimer cannot differentiate and will count voice recognition typing. We are working on improving the detection algorithm.
RSIGuard v4.0 and later differentiates between your typing and the typing done by voice recognition tools. Text typed by voice recognition software is not counted as typing by BreakTimer (or DataLogger). It is possible that the detection algorithm might not detect voice recognition software in every case, but our testing found no exceptions using NaturallySpeaking v9.0 or later.
