It’s easy! Schedule either one-time or recurring payment requests through your Community 1st checking account. On the scheduled payment date, your payment is processed by the Credit Union and is submitted to the vendor (be sure you schedule a payment so it arrives by the due date on your bill). Payments are made electronically to the vendor whenever possible, and it takes about 2 days for the funds to arrive. In some instances, if the vendor does not accept electronic payments, a check will be issued; this will take about 5 days to process and arrive at the vendor.

Payments made through the BillPayer service are processed in one of three ways. Payment processing is handled electronically, so you cannot specify how payments are processed. The following will explain how the Processing Center handles payments: The BillPayer system will first look for an “electronic” process to pay items. If the merchant you are paying is equipped for that purpose, your payment will be processed electronically and appear as ACH on your account statement. Depending upon the dollar amount of the item, it may be paid as “ACH” on your account; however, the merchant will receive a “check” drawn on the BillPayer account in your behalf. The last method of paying processing through the BillPayer system is a “check” drawn on your account with the Credit Union. In this case, there will be a 6-digit check number that will begin with “99xxxx”. This process will not reflect whom you paid. It also may not pay on the date specified.
