How does Bains work/life balance life?
Consulting is a demanding career and not for everyone; we work hard at Bain. That being said, work/life balance is important at Bain. Bain makes an attempt to make working in consulting sustainable, and “face time” is not important at Bain. Each office offers different tactics to address work/life balance. Some examples include part-time roles, leave of absences or take-two (a one time, unpaid two month LOA), rotations into internal roles (e.g. staffing officer, practice area manager), international transfers or externships, tracking hours and case team surveys.
