The ATM user is authenticated during the FIRST processing (send/receive) from the ATM. In ATMs that authenticate users immediately after the inputting of a PIN, a Unique ID (UID) is sent to TEKchand for authentication and data storage. TEKchand can track ATM user behavior, relating to the use of TEKchand services, even though the user may be unregistered. A behavioral profile will be developed and stored in the TEKchand database. In ATMs that send a single send/receive signal after the user has selected a banking option, the ATMRewardsTM authentication takes place parallel to the authentication of the user by his/her financial institution.
