How Does an Office Bully Affect a Work Environment?
An office bully affects a work environment in a number of ways, none of them good. The bully may subtly bully other workers or even her employer, or she may be outright bullyish. The office bully can bully people in a number of ways. This includes insisting that things are done only her way, not doing her share of shared duties, or by even taking all of the easiest assignments and not allowing the other workers to take some of the easier assignments. The office bully generally has a poor attitude and may even have poor work ethics. The poor attitude transfers to others in the workplace, giving them a poor attitude. The bully’s work suffers, as does the work of others, once they have been affected by the bully. She may even make sarcastic remarks to people and clients.
