How does an M-GAGE work?
The M-GAGE uses what are essentially miniature compasses (magnetometers) to detect magnetic field changes along any of three axes. The M-GAGE is programmed to react to magnetic field changes. When a large ferrous object like a truck, car or motorcycle, for example, alters the ambient magnetic field, the sensor will detect the change. The sensor’s discrete outputs will switch when the preset threshold is achieved.
