How does an institution become authorized for field placement?
All forms for a program’s request for authorization for field placement can be found on the PESB website on the For Prep Program Providers page (http://www.pesb.wa.gov/prepprogram/authorization). After PESB staff has received the application materials, staff reviews the materials and contacts the institution’s representative identified to keep them apprised of the status of the request. If more information is needed prior to consideration of the request by the PESB, staff will contact the institution. When the request materials have been determined to be complete, the request will be presented to the PESB for final review and approval or denial. Applicant institutions will have an opportunity to briefly present their program to the PESB and respond to any questions Board members may have, either in person or by phone. PESB staff will assist program provider staff with preparation guidelines for this brief Board presentation.
