How does an In-Ground Pet Fence work?

All our electric pet fences have a transmitter which sends a radio signal through a boundary wire that you’ve buried around your property, or the area in which you would like your pet to stay. Your pet (or pets, with the purchase of additional collars) wears a receiver collar that can detect the radio signal in the wire. As a pet approaches the wire boundary, a tone will emit which warns him or her of the boundary. If your pet proceeds further into the “correction zone” they will receive a mild static correction that annoys them, and deters them from leaving your property. Will the Electric Radio Fence “Shock” my pet? No, not in the way you might imagine. The days of painful shocks to innocent and defenseless dogs and cats are over (at least with the brands we sell here…) Almost all pet fences have toned down the “shock” that older pet fences might have given. All our fences give off a mild static correction, similar to shuffling across carpet and touching a metal doorknob. Will Elec
