How does an employer become eligible to employ work-study students?

0

Only nonprofit organizations or government agencies may employ work-study students. The employer will be required to sign an Off-Campus Work-Study Agreement, which will obligate the employer to pay a 25% matching share for the student’s gross authorized earnings. NOTE: For Summer 2011, the employer will be obligated to pay a 50% matching share of the student’s gross authorized earnings. If you are an employer who is interested in the work-study program, please contact the Off-Campus Coordinator, Karen McKoy at 215-573-9171 or send an e-mail to mckoy@sfs.upenn.edu.
