How does an airport manager spend a workday?
The job of an airport manager deals with the day-to-day operations of the airport and its facilities. An airport manager has to make sure that the runway of the airport and the airport itself are maintained in a professional manner. Airport managers may oversee a number of members of personnel that work for their airports. They also have to work in conjunction with the airlines that use the airports. A manager has to make sure that the airport is operating safely and is meeting the standards that are set forth by the government. The Federal Aviation Administration has many rules that must be adhered to by the airport, and it is the manager’s job to ensure that this happens.
