How does After Effects cache relate to Nucleo Pros cache?
The After Effects preference setting for “Enable Disk Cache” (in the Memory & Cache preferences) allows for standard (“spacebar”) previews to store images on disk that aren’t able to be stored in memory. The Nucleo Preview functions all operate as RAM previews and will not be able to use that cache. Nucleo has three seperate cache areas for each composition. They are used for the Spec Previews, Spec Renders and Precomp Proxy features. Each cache is specific to a composition in a project file and if the project or composition is renamed or moved they will need to be rebuilt. The caches can be managed through the Nucleo Cache Manager tool which can be accessed through the Nucleo status icon > Window > Cache Manager menu item. See the user guide for further details.
