How does AEO determine who gets awarded?
AEO has developed an 85-point scale that will be used to prioritize which applicants receive scholarship assistance. The point-scale awards points based on: residency (40 points), demonstrated financial need (20 points), GPA (up to 10 points), class standing/degree progress (up to 10 points), and whether or not a student has previously received an award or is a first-time freshman at the collegiate level (5 points). Students who wish to be considered for KIC’s merit scholarship must also submit a 500-800 type written essay.
