How does activated carbon enhance the taste of water?
Activated carbon has many applications in the purification process. It’s unique property of adsorption helps to reduce the impurities in the water i.e. organic chemicals, bad smell, colour, chlorine, byproducts of chlorine, pesticides, lead etc. It has large amount of micro porosity. If water passes through the carbon bed, it will separate the impurities and enhance the taste.
