How does a worker prove that they’re experiencing heat illness?
I mean, I could imagine a foreman saying, “Oh, you’re fine.” BRADSHAW: Well, part of that is getting somebody out there rapidly, and part of it is doing an investigation. You not only talk to the individual, but you talk to the other co-workers. And we have multi-lingual investigators who talk to — do an investigation and talk to any number of individuals to make sure that they get the complete story. And we have that same issue, whether it’s a wage and hour violation or whether it’s a health and safety violation. Q: So the employers in this case, are they looking at possible charges, then? BRADSHAW: In this case I don’t know if it was reported, but clearly it is already a violation of existing law. Q: Have you issued a lot more citations since you’ve had these new positions?
