How does a Teacher become a Headteacher?
Well, first you need to qualify as a teacher. From here, you basically work your way up the ranks taking professional development courses along the way. Once you have made it to Deputy Head or Assistant Head you can take the NPQH (qualification for Head Teachers). This then makes you eligible for a headship. This whole process will take at least 10-15 years.
