To enter the competition for National Merit Lockheed Martin Academic Scholarships, children of employees must take the PSAT/NMSQT. Students who are currently in their junior year must also submit an application before the end of February 2011 in order to be considered. How are recipients selected? The scholarship program is a fixed award of 100 scholarships per year. In addition to National Merit Finalists, scholarships will be offered to “Special Scholars,” who receive extremely high scores but did not qualify as Finalists in their state. Students must list “Lockheed Martin” as their parents’ employer on this application. Scholarship recipients will be chosen on a competitive basis and without regard to family financial circumstances.
