How Does a Stationery Store Owner Spend a Workday?
The Start of the Day A stationery store owner starts her workday by opening the store and giving it a walk-through to be sure the store is presentable to customers, making sure the shelves are properly stocked and there are no messes left from the night before. She will then check any messages that may have come in via email, phone or fax for special orders. She also sets up individual cash register drawers for the cashiers. Special Orders If the stationery store owner prints stationery, she will go through the special orders and either he or an employee will generate special-ordered stationery.
