Currently, each charitable organization has to apply annually. If a state employee knows of a charity they would like to see benefit from the State Employees Combined Campaign, they may have the organization call 1-800-909-7322 to request an application. Applications are traditionally available in October and are due by February 15th. The application process is very important. This process ensures state employees they are donating to worthy and conscientious organizations that are using the funds designated to them to provide appropriate services to their clientele. Federations, member agencies and independent charities must be a federally identified 501c(3) charity and meet rigorous SECC application standards including, but not limited to reasonable overhead costs, audited financial statements, all licenses as required by law, policies of non-discrimination, and proof of services to the citizens of North Carolina.
