Shamans work with ‘spirit helpers’, and ‘power animals’, and always teach the message: Look within yourself for your healing. This is a universal message. Socrates said “know thyself”, and Jesus said, “The kingdom of heaven is within.” The essence of the Shaman’s message is: That which you are looking for is within yourself. Shamanistic practices assist the seeker to find that which is within.
