How does a Reverse Osmosis water filter work?

Here I have attempted to explain the process as simply as possible: • Untreated water is forcibly pushed through a semi permeable membrane • Clean water is made up of small molecules, which are easily able to pass through the membrane • Larger chemical and disease causing particles are not able to break through to the other side of the membrane • At the end of the process, filtered water should be on one side of the membrane and unhealthy particles on the other side.
