How does a project get added to the Capital Improvement Program (CIP)?
1. A need (based on a safety, operational, capacity or maintained deficiency) has to be identified. 2. Given that our needs always exceed our funding capabilities, the needs are prioritized. 3. The scope of work and need is refined and becomes a project. 4. Funding is pursued for the project. 5. Project funding is secured. 6. Project is added to the CIP.
