How does a priority affect waiting time?
For most of the properties advertised we will consider people with priority first. If you have a priority, you must keep bidding for suitable properties. Even with a priority, you may have to bid for a considerable time before you are offered a property. In order for our system to be fair, a proportion of properties are also let on the basis of an applicants waiting time on the housing register. This will be clearly shown in the property adverts.
