How does a Piston Diaphragm Pump Operate?
Energy is transmitted from the gear unit to the collar type piston, guided in a bushing. The piston conveys the the pump action via hydraulic working liquid to the diaphragm. During the suction stroke, the diaphragm moves towards the secondary side. The lower pressure created opens the suction valve, allowing product to be pumped to flow into the diaphragm casing. during the discharge stroke, the diaphragm is pushed to the primary side and pumped material is pushed through the discharge valve into the discharge line.
