The individual specialty practices see animal patients on a referral-only basis. Owners and their pets are generally referred by the veterinarian in general practice that normally sees the animal. Pet owners may ask their veterinarians to provide a referral to one of the Veterinary Referral Center of North Texas practices. The veterinarian in general practice sends a medical history to the Referral Practice. If pet owners do not have a general veterinarian, the Clinics at the Veterinary Referral Center of North Texas can identify a general veterinarian who can provide that referral.
