I have had one psychotic breakdown and one stress breakdown. The main symptom of a breakdown is not enjoying things you normally would enjoy doing. Irritability and depression are also some of the things that can happen to someone having a breakdown.

Everybody has their own way of dealing with stress. See, everybody has two kinds of stress…good and bad…but certain people aren’t able to work with the good stress. They just see as all stress and bad stress, and they get worked up. Basically, they aren’t able to cope with every day life, or with a major issue that has come up. As an observer, you can see a person do many different things. They can become restless and have constant repetetive movements. To them, they can feel short of breath, and possibly start hyperventilating. They can also have a pain in their chest. These are examples of if the person were to be having a panic attack. Otherwise, just in general, a person who has a nervous breakdown might feel emotionally drained. Sometimes they have no energy at all. Their eating habits may change to eating all or nothing. Sometimes, they may revert to some habits that would be unhealthy like alcohol use. Just keep in mind these are some of the things you might see, but are not
