How does a payee receive the money?
Payees receive the funds either electronically or by check. Here’s how it works. Most payees in our Merchant Directory are paid electronically. In fact, when you add a payee from the Merchant Directory, you’ll usually see a message that says “Payments will be sent electronically.” If you search the Merchant Directory and don’t see the payee you want, you can add a personal payee and manually enter the required information (e.g., the payee’s name and mailing address). In such cases, the payment is typically made by check.
