How Does A Paintball Gun Using A Nitrogen Tank Shoot Better Than A Paintball Gun Using A Co2 Tank?
Hello armed. The only real advantage to nitrogen is consistency from shot to shot. CO2 gets very cold when released, and causes expansion and contraction of some of materials used to assemble the paintball gun. Nitrogen is compressed as well, but is released at roughly the same temperature that it is stored. To see this, Rapid fire about 20 balls, while holding the gun in the exact same position. You will see the balls striking lower as the gun gets colder. Allow the gun to warm up, and you will be hitting higher on the target when fired from the same position. It doesn’t make the gun more powerful, it just makes it more consistent.
