NBA playoffs start after the end of the regular season and in both conferences the team which finished 1st plays the team which finished 8th. 2nd seed plays the 7th seed; 3rd plays 6th; 4th plays 5th. The winners of the 1st round advance to the 2nd round and then the winners of the 2nd round series get a chance to play in the Conference Finals. Finally the champions from both conferences meet in the NBA finals. Every round is a best-of-seven series.
