How does a merchant account work, and are orders automatically processed?

0

A merchant account is an account that is set up with a financial institution that will give you the ability to charge customer’s credit cards through such an account. Most banks require strong credit standing and/or a bond of as much as $10,000CAD in order to set up such an account. With ecBuilder 4.0, automated processing of orders is not available. In ecBuilder Pro 4.5, 5.0, 6.0 and Developer’s Edition 6.1, you can set up an account with an online transaction company to perform online processing of orders/refunds on your own – using a valid merchant account. We do not provide Customer Support with the setup of merchant accounts. Contact the merchant account vendor for assistance.
