How does a lymphocyte proliferation bioassay work?
Lymphocyte proliferation works when a naive T-cell encounters an antigen and becomes activated which then divides or proliferates into daughter cells. Some of the daughter cells will become effector cells which will perform certain functions and other daughter cells will become memory cells. Wikipedia has some information on it.
