Standard Door Locks Protect The Home Most entryway doors feature a combination of locks; these locks individually provide basic protection from unauthorized entry. Working in concert, however, multiple locks provide exponentially increased home security. The most basic home lock is the typical keyed entry door handle. Locked by a simple twist of an inside knob, the lock disables the outside door handle, making entry difficult for anyone without a key.
