How does a Lacrosse official move through the ranks?
New officials start with high school games for the first 1-3 years. Ideally, if there are enough officials to go around, first year official would officiate JV games first year with a couple Varsity games possibly towards the end of the season. After officiating three full seasons of high school Lacrosse, officials are eligible to request to move up to a Level-2 Status, but there are a number of factors involved here and is not a given. I can tell you this however, it is 10 times faster than football.
