How does a hot water dispenser work?
Water is electrically heated to a brewing/cooking hot 190°F water temperature by a tank that mounts under the sink. A thermostat maintains it at this approximate temperature. When you turn the On/Off Cap, cold water enters the bottom of the tank and forces hot water out of the faucet. The system is vented so the tank is not pressurized.
