How does a hospital or care home get a DoLS authorisation for a person?
The managing authority (hospital or care home manager) must apply to the Supervisory Body (Oxfordshire PCT in the case of hospitals; Oxfordshire County Council in the case of care homes); however since the administration is jointly managed, send all requests for people ordinarily resident in Oxfordshire to the Supervisory Body Office – see details below.
