Arrivals and Departures The home daycare owner should be ready to greet the parents and children when they arrive each morning. If it has snowed during the night, the owner should clear the entry area and sprinkle salt to prevent falls. She will determine if the parent has any special instructions for the day, such as medications or changes in regular routine. She should also assist the child in hanging up coats or jackets and sign the child in for the day.
