How does a high unemployment rate affect staff morale in companies?
High unemployment should not affect morale unless your company is in financial peril then morale may be low. If you’re an employee when this happens you may feel you might be the one who is in line for redundancy so you should be doing all you can to show how good your work is, have excellent time keeping and good social skills, the last in first out rule doesn’t always apply now and it can be dog eat dog out there do your very best and higher morale will come with the praise for you’re improvements.
