How Does a Handyman Business Owner Spend a Workday?
A handyman business owner generally works out of his house. He may have one or two employees that help him, but if the business is small, he works alone. If he has employees, they will have a designated time to meet him at his house, or he may call them the night before to let them know where the first job site is, so they can meet him at the job site. First thing in the morning and the last thing before he ends work for the day, the handyman business owner will check phone messages, faxes and emails for jobs that may have come in after hours. He will call people back to discuss the work needed to be done and pricing. If the customer accepts the proposal, he checks his schedule and sets up a time for that particular job. The handyman business owner goes from home to home, completing jobs.
