Rule No. 505. A. of the Boards Rules, Standards and Procedures requires that GSWs not pursuing LCSW licensure, or who are fulfilling the experience requirement toward licensure, may deliver clinical services which constitute psychotherapy only under the supervision of an LCSW. If you are unsure if you are practicing clinical social work which constitutes psychotherapy, you should review the definition of Clinical Social Work Practice and Psychotherapy listed in Rule No. 301 with your agency administration and/or supervisor to determine if your job description and duties meet the definitions.
